Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is an Indian model and film actress, predominantly chosen projects in the Tamil and Telugu industries. Born to Malayali and Telugu parents, Samantha was brought up in Chennai and embarked upon a career in modeling during her late teens. Although she had initially signed up to act in Ravi Varman's Moscowin Kavery (2007), her first release was the critically acclaimed Telugu romantic drama, Ye Maaya Chesave (2010) directed by Gautham Menon. Since her entry into the movie industry, she has grown leaps and bounds as an actress and taken the Telugu movie industry by storm with a string of critically acclaimed and commercially successful Telugu movies like Brindavanam (2010), Dookudu (2011), Eega (2012), Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu (2012), Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013) establishing herself as a leading contemporary actress in Telugu cinema.
