In a rural village, Vishwan dances the Theyam with Paru, whom he loves, despite her admiration for Gopinathan. Vishwan's mistreatment results in his expulsion, while Paru's family faces hardship after the Malayan's death. When Gopinathan returns and betrays Paru, Vishwan supports her through an epidemic before meeting his fiery demise while confronting obstacles to the Theyam.
