Movie Connection(s):
Dubbed from: The Cabin in the Woods (English)
Goofs:
Continuity
When Dana is at the elevator main control station, the switches on the control panel are inconsistently on/off between shots.

Factual Mistake
One Way mirrors only work when the room on one side is very brightly illuminated and the room on the other is very dimly lit. In the cabin, it looks like both rooms are equally dimly lit.

Revealing Mistakes
Richard Jenkins can be seen drinking from the bottle, which would clearly require an opener.

Continuity
During the "elevator" scene with Marty, Dana's bloodstains on the right side of her face completely disappear between shots.

Continuity
When the rambler is at the gas pump the football in Curts' hand disappears from the scene.

Continuity
When Dana first enters the cabin she leaves the door open, the film cuts to Marty standing outside where we see the door close, but when the scene cuts back to Dana the others are walking in through an open door.

Continuity
A green towel appears and disappears on Marty's shoulders while he's standing on the dock, when the kids are swimming in the lake.

Continuity
In one scene one bottle is shown being extracted from the cooler with water dripping from it. In the next shot when the bottle is tossed to someone, it is clearly completely dry.

Continuity
When Marty is attacked he is stabbed in the back by Judah Buckner, we could see hole and blood stains clearly shown. But when he is in the elevator with Dana it is clear there is no cut on his back, the shirt is whole.

Continuity
At the start of the movie, Jules shows off her new blonde dye job but when they are leaving for the trip she has dark hair roots.

Continuity
When Jules is trying to have sex and open her shirt, her head is leaning right, but when the camera angle change, her head is leaning left. Also, Curt's hand is on Jules stomach, but when the camera changes, his hand is on top of Jules's thigh.
Trivia:
The film's release date was postponed as they wanted the studio to be converted to 3D, despite objections from Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard. But in the end, these plans were eventually scrapped, and the film was released only in 2D.

This film won five 2012 Fright Meter Awards, which includes Best Horror Movie, Best Director, and Best Screenplay.

The entry date in the book they read from is April 4th which is the same day that the George Orwell novel "1984" begins.

The Latin which Dana reads from the diary is "Dolor supervivo caro, Dolor sublimus caro, Dolor ignio animus." meaning "Pain outlives the flesh, Pain raises the flesh, Pain ignites the spirit."

Kevin is a tribute to the Elijah Wood character of the same name from the movie 'Sin City (2005)' and the original Frank Miller graphic novel.

This is one of two films featuring Chris Hemsworth that had been filmed in 2009, but not released until 2012, the other one being Red Dawn.

The Cabin in the Woods opening was a deliberate attempt by filmmakers to confuse the audience intentionally and make them think they walked into the wrong movie.

When Jules kisses the wolf head on the wall, the wolf's tongue is covered in powdered sugar to give it a dusty look and to make the scene tolerable for the actress.

The thermal coffee mug/bong portrayed in the film, costs $5000 for its prototype.
