Shekhar Sartandel

Shekhar Sartandel is a former cameraman, who worked for Mumbai Doordarshan & TV serials. He has experience of Film Executive in the advertising world. Before directing 4 Marathi feature films & he has worked as Chief Assistant Director for 8 Hindi feature films. Shekhar’s public awareness film ‘Quit Alcohol’ was nominated as Best Film at IDPA awards 2005. His debut film direction titled ‘Joshi Ki Kamble’ was selected at Asian Film Festival 2009. The film has got 11 nominations & 6 awards in various competitions. His second feature film ‘Nirmalya’ was an official entry at the prestigious Mumbai International Film Festival (MAMI) 2011 among the selected 14 Indian films. He is also a film educator & HOD at Rachana Sansad Film Institute, Prabhadevi, Mumbai and University of Mumbai’s Garware Institute, Santacruz.
