For the parents and siblings of a person with special needs the future often seems scary and unpredictable. In the Zaidi family, Rabab, the youngest of two siblings, has cerebral palsy. For Rabab's family, complications brought about by immigration policies makes the idea of security evermore elusive. Safar documents Rabab's family as they recount the challenges they have faced over the years both in their country of residence, UAE, as well as in their attempts to migrate to Canada. This story is an intimate, heartwarming portrayal of a family separated in an attempt to be together again.
