Purl is a humanoid ball of yarn who gets a job at a fast-paced, high energy startup. While excited at first to work there, she soon realizes that her partners ignore her, in spite of her attempts to fit in. Purl observes that the team is composed entirely of men in similar power suits and hairstyles. Seeing this, she imitates them by changing her appearance and personality to theirs. Just when she starts to fit in, a yellow ball of yarn called Lacy joins the office.
