Embedded with charged emotion and social relevance, this poignant drama delves into the trials and triumphs in the life of Poornima, a sincere young woman who has completed school and has a deep desire to go to college. However, her mother is strictly against the idea, as she believes that coeducation will spoil her daughter and is keen on getting her married. Jayaraj is a highly principled man who is involved in labour union activities. When his parents object to his activities, he leaves home and begins living with other union members. Bhadran is a savvy college student who is an expert advisor when it comes to writing love letters and wooing young women in general. After much struggle, Poornima finally gets approval from her mother to join a college. However, she is constantly fearful of interacting with members of the opposite sex, due to her mother's dire warnings. When Bhadran teases Poornima, she becomes paranoid and terrified of being stalked and molested. To add to her woes, she begins receiving anonymous love letters that she is terrified of. These letters and the potential threat of rape keep her in a continuous state of fear and panic. However, she continues her education and gives a stunning solo performance at a college cultural event, singing a beautiful melody. Jayaraj is impressed by Poornima's qualities. He comes to the college to talk to Poornima, but Bhadran mistakes him to be an enemy in the both of them get into a terrible fight. What will be the result of the battle between Bhadran and Jayaraj? How will Poornima's life be impacted by this event?
