Manasantha Nuvve (2001)

This evocative romantic drama revolves around Chanti, a resourceful youngster who is brought up by his mother, a struggling widow. His happiest childhood memories are with his best friend, Anu who is the daughter of a well-to-do government employee.

When Anu's father gets transferred, the childhood sweethearts get separated, but they never forget each other. Chanti loses his mother and ends up as an orphan on the streets, trying to make a living by selling breakfast. Later he gets adopted by a loving couple and his name is changed to Venu.

Anu completes her higher studies in Malaysia, but she never gives up trying to get back in touch with Chanti, while he remains equally devoted to her memory. Will the young couple ever find each other?
