This evocative tale of love, loss and revenge follows the life of David, a simple man who is deeply involved in the grassroots political movement. He is happily married to Rosy and they live with their newly born son. David has a lot of respect and devotion for a political leader, Suryaprakasam, and introduces his family to his idol at a political rally. Suryaprakasam however, is a cleverly masked criminal who becomes obsessed with Rosy. While David is out on a dangerous political protest, he rapes Rosy. When Rosy commits suicide from shame, and leaves a note accusing Suryaprakasam, he cleverly destroys the evidence and entraps David for the crime. Caught in a web of deceit and corruption, David is sentenced to 22 years of rigourous imprisonment. What will he do when he is released from prison? What happened to David and Rosy's son in these decades?
