This movie dwells upon the slum dwellers of Chennai. Its focus is on the sort of social status and position they have and the way they are treated by society. Nobody is born a criminal, criminals are created by society & be unbearable nature of their circumstance.
The tales of these people are like little poems embedded into the city's underbelly –its slums, huts, garbage dumps, streets and alleys, sidewalks and hidden niches of railway stations, banks of the koovam river et cetera. The cruel irony is that they not commit any mistakes in their lives, but their entire lives end up seeming like a mistake.
The movie is meant to break all the expectations and patterns of a signature Kasturi Raja creation while evoking thought and empathy for the plight of slum dwellers in Chennai.
