Embedded with fast-paced action and intense emotion, this socially relevant drama traces the twists and turns in the life of Jambulingam, a fearless man who stands up against injustice, tyranny and exploitation. In a village market, the impoverished and hard-working vendors are brutalised and their hard-earned profits forcibly taken away from them by Moussa, a violent thug under the employment of the local landowner. Jambulingam takes offence to this action, fights Moussa and returns the money to the vendors.
In retaliation, the powerful and wealthy landowner gets Jambulingam embroiled in a great deal of trouble. However, Jambulingam escapes with the help of Subhadra, the landowner's daughter. Vexed with her father's tyrannical rule and sheer exploitation of the local community, she does whatever possible to protect the people from his tyranny. She saves a baby from a fire and makes it her own. Soon, the conflict between Jambulingam and the landowner becomes that of the labourers, farmers and workers against the ruling class. How will the conflict end? What kind of impact will the revolt led by Jambulingam have on the history of India?
