The entire midwest community comes together to honor thousands of World War II veterans by arranging 'Honor Flight' trips for them to travel to Washington, DC and see the memorial that was built for them. The veterans who are in their late 80's and 90's are being thanked for their valor and sacrifice they made 60 years ago and this may possibly be the last trip of their lives. The 24-hour journey is full of surprises that deeply move everyone involved in it and the honor flight experience brings their stories out.
