Cindy is a woman who leaves her family and moves to the US to marry an American soldier. They have three children, all blonde. When her American husband dies, Cindy is left in debt and is forced to move back to the Philippines with her children. She goes through a series of misadventures looking for a job and meets Tony Boy, a widower with two blonde children of his own. Together, they become a blended family raising their children on what it means to be Filipino.
