Bhouri (2016)

Evocative and provocative, this socially relevant saga is set against the backdrop of a famished rural community, in which the local 'leaders' constituted by five members of the so-called upper class community collectively rule the village. However, these powerful men are greedy and corrupt, choosing to force the villagers to satisfy them, often at great personal expense to their dignity and their financial independence.

The accursed discrimination that plagues this backward community is highlighted through the life of Bhouri, a beautiful, fair-complexioned woman. She is so gorgeous that every man in the village wishes to have her, and as a consequence, she's labelled by the community as 'unlucky'. Her husbands die and the fourth one, Dhanua is manipulated by the five tyrants to make Dhanua force Bhouri into gratifying their sexual needs and pleasuring them.

Bhouri finally refuses to remain subservient and chooses to rebel against the exploitation. How will her future and that of everyone in her community unfold?
