Ansel Elgort

American actor and singer Ansel Elgort, is popularly known for his portrayal of Augustus Waters in 2014 blockbuster 'The Fault in Our Stars' based on the novel written by John Greene. Born in Manhattan to fashion photographer Arthur Elgort and opera director Grethe Barrett Holby, Ansel is of Russian Jewish, Norwegian, English and German ancestry. Elgort's acting career began through professional stage acting, in Regrets, by Matt Charman, Ansel made his film debut as a secondary role in the 2013 remake of 'Carrie', after which he starred as Caleb Prior in the much publicized 'Divergent' series. Ansel received International recognition for his role of Augustus Waters in the film adaptation of John Green's novel 'The Fault in Our Stars'. Elgort was named one of the best actors under twenty years of age and had created a Sound cloud account under the name of Ansølo to publish his electronic dance music tracks, and has remixed songs such as "Born to Die" by Lana del Rey. Elgort began dating his high school sweetheart, Violetta Komyshan, in 2012, and despite his hectic career, they had reconciled after five months of separation in January 2015.
