Trivia:
A modern reimagining inspired by Dracula's Daughter (1936).

The trailer features the iconic theme from Tchaikovsky's ballet Swan Lake, famously utilized in the opening credits of the 1931 film Dracula.

Tyler Gillett discussed Abigail's design with Empire, focusing on her teeth. "We delved into the teeth extensively," he explained. "Our aim was to make them appear more primal and animalistic compared to traditional vampire fangs. Abigail's teeth resemble layers, akin to a shark's mouth. When you observe apex predators, their mouths are engineered to cause maximum harm when they open."

Kathryn Newton confirmed that the film is undeniably messy, stating, "I'd describe Abigail as the scariest and bloodiest movie I've been a part of. I've portrayed a few monsters, haven't I? It's like I'm collecting monsters for a letterman jacket."

In a Total Film interview, the directors felt compelled to extend apologies to the cast due to the sheer volume of blood used during filming. They remarked, "While all our films tend to be bloody, this one takes the cake. We found ourselves constantly saying sorry to our actors! Blood is practically synonymous with vampire movies, and the level of gore in this one is... well, it's quite intense! Nevertheless, it adds to the excitement."
