The film illustrates the life of the famous Jewish Austrian writer, Stefan Zweig, his inner struggle for the "right attitude" toward the events in war-torn Europe, and his search for a new home.

Two bounty hunters attempt to track down a destructive device known as the "Hand of God" due to the rivalry between them.
