Patanayakan (1996)

Interspersed with humour, this fiery revenge drama delves into the life of Pappan, a fierce criminal with a good heart. Prison is almost like a second home for Pappan, and after his latest visit, he returns to delve back into the world of violence and crime. When Pappan's loyal aide accidentally murders one of their enemies, their troubles spiral out of control, until the both of them try to escape the city. In the process, they come across a middle-aged lady and her young daughter being assaulted, and when they come to her rescue, she's extremely grateful and takes them in. However, it is only later that they find out that the lady has a bitter enmity with a powerful and wealthy landlord, Marthandam and are soon going to become her weapons for revenge against him. How will the two young men react? Will they take up the challenge to defeat a tyrannical landlord try to escape once more?
