Abhinaya Anand

Indian model and actress Abhinaya Anand, popularly known for her works in Tamil Cinema, is a differently abled actress with speech and hearing impairment. She received recognition for her exemplary performance in her debut movie Naadodigal for which she had won two Filmfare Awards for her performances in Naadodigal and Shambo Shiva Shambo the following year. She has also played several roles of supporting characters alongside superstars like Jr. NTR's and Nagarjuna in movies Dammu and Dhamarukam. She had also acted alongside superstar Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu in the multi-starrer blcokbuster 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' and has worked with ultimate star Ajith in the 2014 film 'Veeram'. She has also made her debut in Hindi cinema with the R Balki directed 'Shamitabh' alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush. Since her adolescence, Abhinaya had mastered sign language and lip reading in English and can hear with the help of a machine. She loves pets and Sudoku, and had discontinued her studies at Std X to focus on her career.
